OjotoTo Celebrate 2024 Christmas With Installation Of Solar-Powered Street Lights, Other Developmental Projects

His Royal Highness Igwe Gerald Obunadike Mbamalu, the traditional ruler of Ojoto community in Idemili-South Local Government Area of Anambra State, has said that Ojoto is set for a beautiful Christmas celebration this year as the community embarks on Operation Light-Up Ojoto community coupled with other developmental programmes and projects that would be unveiled.

The Anambra State Chapter of the Ohaneze-Ndigbo Worldwide has announced the conferment of Best President-General On Infrastructural Projects Award on the President-General of Umueri community in Anambra-East Local Government Area, Amb. Dr. John Metchie. 

The award ceremony which would be held on 14th December this year at King David Hotel Awka, would be bestowed on him in recognition of his outstanding achievements as the President-General of Umueri community especially in deploying his personal resources to build a multimillion naira ultramodern joint security post for the military, police and other security agencies to curb security breaches in Umueri community. 

NBA decries spate of ‘huge extortion” by Police in Enugu

 

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Enugu branch, has decried the spate of ‘huge extortion’ by police personnel when matters get to their official units, departments, stations and command within the state.

The association made this known on Tuesday during the opening of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Enugu Branch 2024 Law Week.
