European Scouts commences trials for Anambra Football Talents on the invitation of Gamechanger FC, Anambra Govt

 


A three-day trial on Wednesday commenced in Awka, Anambra State Capital, for young footballing talents seeking opportunities in football clubs in European countries.

Day one of the trials which took place at the Awka Township Stadium, saw a team of football professionals from Europe, watch players of various football clubs in the state, including De Gamechanger FC, DOSAD Sports, and Solution FC, among others, showcase their talents.

In a bid to ensure quality services for homeowners, plumbers and other building professionals across Southeast, Nigeria, on Sunday, converged on Onitsha, Anambra state, to discuss real-world plumbing challenges and proffer solutions to them.

The educative interaction, held at the Five Star Restaurant Hall, GRA, Onitsha, with the theme ‘Celebrating Mastery and Partnership, offered the plumbers the opportunity to upgrade their skills with hands-on training, and interaction with top engineers.

Troops clear IPOB camps, apprehend 2, recover firearms, others in S/East

The troops of Joint Task Force South-East, code-named ‘Operation UDO KA’ has carried clearance operation in Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its Eastern Security Network (ESN) camps and apprehended two terrorists.

The troops of the operation, which is composed of the Army, Navy and the Air Force in conjunction with the Nigeria Police, Department of State Service and Civil Defence, recovered a large cache of firearms and ammunition from the camps raided.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Spokesman of ‘Operation UDO KA’, Lt.-Col. Jonah Unuakhalu, on Sunday in Enugu.

The beneficiaries of the Agricultural Transformation Agenda Support Programme Phase-One (ATASP-1) have lauded the programme for its great impacts towards Federal Government’s efforts to tackle food insecurity in Nigeria.

The beneficiaries of the ATASP-1 in Enugu and Anambra States, at the weekend, also commended the Africa Development Bank (AfDB) for providing strategic infrastructural, capacity development and support for rural farmers, processors and other agricultural value chain actors.
