Anambra State reviewed its Administration of Criminal Justice (2010) in 2022 to inject innovations into the document. The new seeks to promote efficient management of criminal justice institutions, speedy dispensation of justice, protection of the society from crimes and protection of the rights and interest of the suspect, the defendant and victims in Nigeria.
The Executive Director of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Advocacy Network (LEAD Network) Africa, an NGO, Chief Chukwuma Okenwa, says ‘Gov. Peter Mbah’s governance is truly and highly transformational’.
Okenwa said this on Tuesday in Enugu while reacting to the recent scorecard presented by Gov. Mbah on his governance in a Town Hall Meeting, which was themed: ‘Governance Issues: The Journey So Far”.
The Chairman of Oji River Local Government Area, Mr Greg Anyaegbudike, has called on leaders to emulate Gov. Peter Mbah’s participatory and inclusive governance style to engender good governance.
Anyaegbudike made the call on Sunday in Enugu while reacting to the successful Town Hall Meeting held by Gov. Mbah and residents of Enugu State with the theme: “Governance Issues: The Journey So Far” on Saturday.
The Enugu State Government has advocated optimal health of its residents to grow the state Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and economy from about $4 billion to $30 billion.
The state’s Commissioner for Health, Prof. Ikechukwu Obi, said this in Enugu on Tuesday during the launch of a health book, titled: “Long, Healthy and Happy Living: Key Lifestyle Paths”, written by Prof. Eddy Ndibuagu.
