A 12-year-old girl and her 13-year-old boyfriend have become Britain's youngest parents.
The couple, who conceived when the then elementary schoolgirl was aged just 11, gave birth to a healthy baby daughter weighing 7-pounds-4 last weekend.
Friends say the pair are "totally in love," are planning to bring up the infant together and eventually want to get married.
"Both sets of grandparents are incredibly supportive. It's a very difficult situation because the parents are both so young - but their families are right behind them," a source told The Sun.
"The baby's mum and dad have been in a relationship for more than a year, so it isn't a fleeting romance. They intend to stick together and bring their daughter up together," he added.
The new parents, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have - at just 25 - the lowest combined age of any British parents in history.
Former Governor of Lagos State and a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has declared that nobody can stop his ambition in 2015 if he declares for the presidency or any public office. Tinubu said he has the right to be the President of Nigeria regardless of his religion and state of origin, telling those mounting opposition against his political aspiration to find something else to do. His words: “We must choose the right person to lead the battle. And nobody, no one under the sun, under the United Nations Human Rights Charter can stop a Bola Tinubu’s ambition. If I want to be the President, I have that right, regardless of which zone, religion and which state.” Already, there are permutations in the APC of a Muslim-Muslim ticket, which will feature Muhammadu Buhari and Tinubu in the 2015 presidential election. Speaking yesterday at the APC secretariat in Lagos, the former governor said APC will feature the best candidate in 2015 election, whether the person is a Christian or Muslim. Tinubu later told the party members, who asked him about his decision on the 2015 presidency, “I will let you know my decision.”
The former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and former governor of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu yesterday engaged in a closed-door meeting that the former said bordered on the insecurity in the country.
It was learnt that the visit of the former Abia governor who had earlier visited Niger State governor, Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu, could not be divorced from 2015.
He, however, said “My visit is about Nigeria. This is my home and there is no way I can sit with him without discussing about the future of Nigeria. This is our country and he is our boss.”
Kalu, who did not concede that the 2015 general election was part of the issues discussed, said all that was discussed was for the future of Nigeria and the people.
Speaking to journalists who waited for the two hours that the meeting lasted, Kalu, accompanied by IBB who refused to talk, said he had a heart-to-heart talk with him on the way to end the nationwide insecurity.
A 29-year-old dismissed police man, Tijani Oseni was yesterday arraigned before an Umuahia Chief Magistrate Court for the killing of John Ndubuka, the late former Personal Assistant to Mr. Chinedu Orji, the first son of Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State.

HOW were you picked to be a judge on the show?
I was approached through a friend that was supposed to handle my public relations and that was it.
Were you working on any project when you were approached to join the show?
I’m a singer and songwriter. They probably thought that it was going to be good to have an international artiste who is Nigerian on board. I also think it’s a way to give back to the country by supporting these talents.

VOLATILE and controversial Nollywood diva, Tonto Dikeh’s wild streak is becoming strongly legendary and it doesn’t look like the actress has any shortcoming about it. There seems to be nothing the actress can’t talk about.
Last Friday, when the whole world was celebrating the World Siblings Day, posting family pictures in joyful mood on several social media, Tonto took a different turn saying she has neither worthy siblings nor family to celebrate.
“National siblings day,I am my own family/Sibling.. For those of you with worthy siblings/family, don’t forget to show them love today and continually”, she posted on Instagram.

Nigeria’s armed forces have formally issued a retraction to the unfolding story of the kidnapping of more than 100 female students in the country’s northeast Monday.
The statement, issued by Chris Olukolade, a Major General who also serves as Coordinator, and the Director of Defense Information, centers on a discrepancy of fact, and concerns a mis-quote from the School Principal whose students were abducted in the Monday siege. In an attempt to set the record straight, Olukolade’s statement reads as follows:
The controversy that has been generated around the efforts at securing the lives of the abducted students of Government Girls’ Secondary School, Chibok is unfortunate. The ongoing frantic efforts of security forces along with vigilante groups including hunters working to locate and free the abducted students have continued to be keenly monitored at the Operation Centre of the Defense and Army Headquarters as regular progress reports are being received from troops on the ground.
Now that the notorious White Widow, Samantha Lewthwaite, has been linked (whether confirmed or yet to be confirmed) to the dastardly bomb blast at Abuja, Nigerians should accept that the hen has finally come home to roost. Our worst nightmare is virtually at our doorstep. Terror has found a foothold in Nigeria. Teeth are still gnashing while tears are yet to dry. Nigeria is a nation at war, a nation in mourning. Peace has taken flight.
Nigerians are still continuing to express their shock and disgust at the unending cycle of violence that has now consumed the country. Losses are still being counted. The reality of a severe state of insecurity in which we all dwell stares blankly at us all in the face. However, of significance are four events which occurred just after this heinous crime to humanity. These are:
1. Flags are yet to be flown at half-mast as Nigeria does not perceive this particular bomb blast (one in a series of unending tragedies) as particularly significant, painful or sorrowful.
2. In the same perspective, President Goodluck Jonathan after the conceited mien and piety displayed at Nyanya in the course of his condolence visit, went on a whirlwind of politicking the following day. The bomb blast occurred on Monday 14th April whilst the President of the affected nation was on a felicitation visit to mark the centenary birthday of a traditional ruler (the Olubadan of Ibadan) on Tuesday 15th April 2014.
