Abuja Bomb Attack Is Just A “Tiny Incident” – Boko Haram Leader Shekau Boasts

The group released its new video to journalists in northeast Nigeria Saturday, hours after the AFP news agency published highlights of the clip.
In the video, Shekau admitted responsibility for the Nyanya bombing which officials say claimed more than 75 lives and injured over a hundred.
Witnesses and reporters, however, put the casualty figure far higher.
Shekau, who appeared in the video, as usual, clad in a military attire, with a long dark cap strapped with a dark turban, with an AK-47 rifle across his chest, spoke boastfully about the prowess of his group and how vulnerable the Nigerian nation is to him and his men.
He described the Nyanya blast as “tiny incident”, which according to him does not merit the global condemnation that it has generated.

Wizkid, Waje part ways with manager

Nigerian Pop stars, Wizkid and Waje, have parted ways,with their manager, Godwin Tom.
According to reports that just reached ashiwaju.org, Tom threw in the towel following a disagreement with Wizkid after a recent trip to Dubai, United Ararb Emirates and the United Kingdom.
Tom, who once managed acts like M.I and Show Dem Camp, has also parted ways with his other client, Waje.
Though the cause of his disagreement with Waje could not be ascertained, reports claimed that the duo have now gone their separate ways.
In recent time, Tom has been releasing some comments on Twitter and Instagram, which show signs of frustration over the recent developments.
Reports also claimed that he confided in his friends that he might take a break from the Nigeria music scene to try his hands on other ventures.

Controversial Prophetess Helen Ukpabio Deported From UK

The British Homeland Security has deported Mrs. Helen Ukpabio, the President and Founder of one of Nigeria’s largest Pentecostal churches believed to be leading the spread of witch-hunting in the country. A United Kingdom based human right activist and charity worker, Ms. Modupe Debbie Ariyo announced this in a one paragraph sentence via her Facebook page on Friday, April 18, 2015. “Helen Ukpabio deported from UK…hurray!!!” Ariyo said. Ariyo, who’s the Executive Director of Africa Unite Against Child Abuse (AFRUCA) in furtherance of her terse release sent as a confirmatory note of the deportation, said that the British Home Secretary, Ms Theresa May was pressured by human right activists and the UK press to act. “Theresa May was under pressure from charities to act…the evidence was overwhelming too” she stated. Ms Ariyo called on her Nigerian counterparts and the press to borrow a leaf from their action which led to the deportation of Ms Ukpabio.
“Now, it is up to our Nigerian colleagues to learn from our example. These people can be challenged. They are ordinary human beings like you and I.” Ariyo maintained.

General Yakubu Gowon, who led Nigeria through a 30-month civil war, yesterday, lamented that the country had fallen into full scale civil war with the spate of crises in the northeast.
