Chibok Girls Release: ‘Jonathan never had any plan to visit Chibok’ – Abati

President Goodluck Jonathan’s spokesperson, Reuben Abati, has debunked news that the President made plans to pay a visit to Chibok this Friday.
Abati made these declarations in response to news making rounds that President Jonathan would be visiting Chibok, the town where the abduction of over 200 schoolgirls took place, after which he would head for Paris the same day.

Suspected Explosives Scared Lagos Residents

Residents and traders along the ever-busy Nnamdi Azikiwe Street at Idumota on Lagos Island, Lagos State were thrown into panic on Thursday following the discovery of three strange objects suspected to be explosives.
The objects, which resembled fireworks, but bigger, were reportedly detected in the area at around 8am by some residents.

CBN orders banks to destroy cards trapped in ATMs

The Central Bank of Nigeria has directed Deposit Money Banks to henceforth destroy Automated Teller Machine cards trapped in their ATM terminals.

The CBN also gave banks 24 hours to reverse debit entries arising from failed transaction attributable to system-related issues.

Many politicians called for his head accusing him of predicting the break-up of our country. REVEALED: Obasanjo Didn't Win 1999 Presidential Election – Okurounmu

A member of the National Conference Committee on Political Restructuring and Forms of Government, Senator Femi Okurounmu, on Tuesday informed members of the Committee that former President Olusegun Obasanjo did not win the 1999 presidential election.
Okurounmu alleged that Obasanjo was merely “anointed” to become the president by some power brokers in the country.

The wife of Anambra state governor, Chief Mrs. Ebele Obiano has urged Anambrarians to set aside three days fasting and prayers for the speedy release of the abducted Government Secondary School  girls Chibok , in Borno state. 

She stated this at a forum held in her country home Aguleri , by concerned  citizens, requesting  the state of the girls in the den of their captor and as well calling on government to hasten  their effort for the quick release of the girls.
