By then, the world was abuzz with a welter of conflicting information on the schoolgirls who were abducted in the night of April 14 at Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, where the students boarded to write their West African School Certificate Examinations. The schoolgirls had not been found, and the trauma was aggravated by the fatalities of the Nyanya bombings and the lingering terror mostly in the North-East of the country.

Uri Geller spoon gorilla statue unveiled

A huge gorilla statue made entirely of spoons for entertainer Uri Geller has been unveiled by Prince Michael of Kent.
The 12ft-high (3.6m) statue features about 40,000 spoons and has taken almost five months to build at the British Ironworks Centre in Oswestry.
The spoons have been donated from across the world, as well as local schoolchildren.
It is due to be transported to Mr Geller's home in Berkshire on 28 May.

Shekau strikes again: Kills 16, abducts five policemen, 10 Chinese workers

Boko Haram terror, at the weekend, raged in Borno State where 16 persons were feared killed in a fresh attack.

In  two other attacks, five policemen were reportedly abducted with their armoured personnel carrier (APC) while a Chinese was killed and 10 others kidnapped during an overnight attack in Kuseri Village between Gamboru Ngala  council and Cameroun.
