Adamawa 2014 Election: Ribadu Dumps APC For PDP to Contest Guber Election

A former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and chieftain of the All Progressive’s Congress (APC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has finally dumped the main opposition party for the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sunday Trust can authoritatively report.
This is even as the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN’s) presidential flag bearer in the 2011 election is set to obtain his nomination form for the October 11 Adamawa governorship bye-election from the PDP national secretariat and proceed to Yola to kick-start his electioneering campaign.
This has put paid to speculations that have been making the rounds in the past weeks over alleged plans by the Presidency and the leadership of the PDP to woo the former anti-graft Czar to join the ruling party.

Oyedepo Barred From Entering UK

Nigerian pastorpruener David Oyedepo has been barred from entering the UK by the British Home Office following  the commencement of investigations into his affairs by the UK Charities Commission.   Bishop Oyedepo, popularly known as Papa by his followers, has been under investigation by the Charities Commission since 2012. Investigators are looking into the activities of his Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel and the way it gets money from parishioners.

 The fornmer Governor of Anambra State, Chief Peter Obi has debunked the allegation that led his resignation as the Board of Trustee Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance Party (APGA)  with the hope to join the People's Democratic Party (PDP), and described it baseless and unfounded.
He said he still remain a member of the APGA family and would continue to supporting the party and also stand on the side to promote the cause of the Igbo at all time.

Governor Fashola Commissions New Tejuosho Market

       
Lagos state Governor, Raji Fashola today August 15th commissioned the newly refurbished Tejuosho market in Yaba Lagos, 7 years after the old market structure was completely gutted by fire.
The refurbished market, which used to have 1,484 lockup, has been increased to 2,640. Facilities in the new market complex includes banking spaces, 8 lifts to enable goods, services and people move up, two escalators for up and down movement of people, two ramps designed to assist physically handicapped people to get into and out of the building and a crèche where nursing mothers can attend to and keep their children while they are trading.
