Obiano Orders Residents To Maintain Cleanliness Of Drains In Anambra

The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has ordered residents of Onitsha , Nnewi and Awka to clean up their gutters and drainage systems immediately or face the wrath of the state government .
He warned against indiscriminate dumping of refuse at Fegge , Onitsha South local government by residents.

Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor has announced that the traditional sign of peace observation during the celebration of the Holy Mass which involve shaking of hands and embracing one another can no longer be taken as usual rather it will be observed by the congregation waving at each other during the ceremony.

IMMIGRATION SET TO RECRUIT 5,000 OFFICERS

 

 The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, on Friday said the Federal Government planned to recruit 5,000 officers into the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) over the next five years.
Moro said this in Abuja at the 2014 Comptroller-General’s annual conference and stakeholder’s forum in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the service.
The two-day conference organised by the service is themed: “Effective Border Control Systems and Procedures for National Security”.

The Former President of Nigeria , Chief Olusegun Obasanjo today in Oke-Mosan Abeokuta registered for his National Identity Card (NIC) and decided to keep the information about his next of kin away from the prying eyes of reporters who were bent on capturing his personal data.Obasanjo who arrived at the National Identity Management Commission office around 1:35pm, quickly had his height measured and finger prints taken.
