Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu’s widow and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, has debunked the rumour that she is interested in representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly in 2015.

Senator Andy Uba is currently representing the senatorial district. Mrs. Ojukwu, who spoke from Madrid, Spain yesterday, said it had never crossed her mind to contest for the senatorial seat as highly speculated in Anambra.

Pastor Caught With Human Head

Authorities of the Police command in Osun State, on Thursday, paraded a 35-year-old man, identified as Clement Oyetunde, who was arrested with a human skull and other charms at Adeowo area of Modakeke, Osun State.
The state Commissioner of Police, Abubakar Marafa made this disclosure while briefing newsmen, at the headquarters of the Police command. He hinted that the suspect’s arrest was made possible through a tip off from some residents of the area.

              Former governor of Anambra State and Senator represent­ing Anambra Cen­tral, Dr. Chris Ngige, yes­terday said the defection of his successor, Chief Peter Obi, from All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has vindicat­ed his long time statement that the former governor was only doing business with APGA. A socio-cultural Igbo Organization with the name Mbido Igbo Association has honoured a frontline politician, job creator and former governorship candidate of Progressive People Alliance (PPA), in the last concluded gubernatorial election in Anambra State, Mr. Godwin Chukwunenye Ezeemo with Agboma Ndi award for his role in promoting Igbo language and culture.
Presenting the award, the national chairman of the group Mazi Okafouzu Ugochukwu said Ezeemo had distinguished himself from others through his burning passion for the promotion of Igbo tradition, genuine philanthropy and selfless service to humanity noting that the group would continue to reorganize and honour people like him (Ezeemo) for their exceptional love and dedication to the cause of Ndi Igbo.

Following mixed reactions on the joining of the PDP by the former Governor of Anambra, Mr. Peter Obi, more facts have emerged on what informed his decision.

Speaking to journalists during an interactive session with Igbo group in Lagos State, Obi said "There is nothing wrong with APGA and my joining the PDP has nothing to do with APGA. I enjoy cordial relationship with Chief Willie Obiano and the Government is doing well. I will continue to support him in building a better Anambra State for the good of the children of the State."
