Obasanjo Firm Sues Female Worker For Alleged Stealing

A 30-year-old employee of Obasanjo Holdings Limited, Abeokuta, Ms Olajoke Monplaisir, was yesterday arraigned before an Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court sitting in Isabo for allegedly stealing the sum of N1.5m belonging to her employer. The prosecutor, Sunday Egbejiale said the accused, a protocol officer, allegedly stole the money, which was meant for the payment of flight tickets of the company’s members of staff to Eastwind Travel Agency. 

Ebola: First Consultant indicts Liberian Ambassador


First Consultants Medical Centre, yesterday, indicted the Liberian Ambassador to Nigeria for complicity in the first Ebola case in Nigeria, saying the Ambassador put the hospital under pressure to release Sawyer against the wish of its management.

The leadership of the nation’s judiciary is reportedly in a quandary over the alleged plan to use the arm of government to scuttle the October 16 swearing-in of Ekiti governor-elect, Mr Ayodele Fayose.

To ensure that nothing goes wrong, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Aloma Mariam Mukhtar, has reportedly shelved her earlier plan to travel to Athens, Greece, next week Tuesday, after the meeting of the National Judicial Council (NJC) scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.
Checks revealed that she was billed to travel to Athens for a stress management conference, alongside her brother justices, as well as heads of certain agencies of the judiciary and the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Sunday Olorundahunsi.
