Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal insist their friendship will survive whatever happens when Chelsea look to cement their position on top of the Premier League with a statement victory at Manchester United on Sunday.
Mourinho has never hidden his distain for some of his managerial rivals, with Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger and Aston Villa’s Paul Lambert crossing swords with the Chelsea boss already this season, and the prospect of a crucial clash with a team capable of ending his side’s unbeaten start would usually bring out the antagonist in the Portuguese coach.

Keshi Reinstated As Super Eagles' Coach

Following a court ruling on Thursday, to sack the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board led by Amaju Pinnick, the Chris Giwa-led board has taken over the federation’s secretariat.The Giwa-led executive have also overturned some of the decisions taken by Pinnick, including the sacking of Stephen Keshi as the national team coach.“The NFF board reviewed and feels so strongly to sustain the out-of-contract assignment given to the technical crew of the Super Eagles led by Stephen Keshi at a very critical moment like this. Nigerians want the national team to play well, win and a pride to them” a part of the communiqué reached at the executive committee read.

Luis Suarez’s Barcelona debut ended in defeat as Real Madrid cut the gap on the La Liga leaders to just a point as they came from behind to win El Clasico 3-1 on Saturday.
Playing for the first time in a competitive game since being handed a fourth month ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup, Suarez’s Barca career had got off to a flying start as he set up Neymar to slide home the opening goal after just three minutes.
However, Real responded like European champions as Cristiano Ronaldo levelled from the penalty spot before second-half goals from Pepe and Karim Benzema handed them a deserved ninth consecutive victory in all competitions.

The Super Falcons ON Saturday at the Sam Nuyoma Stadium Windhoek proved too hot to handle for their Cameroonian opponents in the final of the African Women Championship.
Two first half goals by Desire Oparanozie and Asisat Oshoala was all the Falcons needed to confirm their ratings as favourites as they won the trophy a record seventh time. They completed the campaign without losing a match.

Iranian woman Reyhaneh Jabbari hanged over murder

woman Reyhaneh Jabbari has been executed inside a prison near the capital Tehran after she was convicted of murdering a man in a criminal case seven years ago.
Reyhaneh was hanged in the early hours of Saturday after being found guilty of killing Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi in July 2007.

An apex leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Imo State, Chief Martin Agbaso Fridayformally defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, declaring APGA as being dead in the state.

This is even as Agbaso passionately pleaded with the people of the state to forgive him for the mistake he made in giving them Owelle Rochas Okorocha, a man he did not know very well, as the state governor in 2011.
