Ngige, 62, a former Anambra State Governor, now Senator representing
Anambra Central in the National Assembly speaks on how specifically he
has impacted his constituents, bills and amendments he initiated or
motions moved, why he is quiet about a return to the upper legislative

Amaechi Is A Liar’, Presidency Responds To Accusations Against First Lady
The Presidency has issued a statement concerning allegations recently
made against the First Lady, Patience Jonathan by Rivers State Governor,
Rotimi Amaechi. Amaechi accused Mrs. Jonathan of wanting to share out
of his state’s funds and attributed her anger at him to his refusal to
oblige her request.
The statement released by the president’s media aide, Reuben Abati
however addresses the allegations describing them as untrue while also
accusing the governor of rascally behavior.

Jonathan reshuffles cabinet
President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday directed the Minister of State II, for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Nurudeen Mohammed, to take over as the Supervising Minister of Information pending the time a substantive minister would be named.
The position became vacant following the exit of Mr. Labaran Maku who resigned from the cabinet to enable him contest the forthcoming governorship election in Nassarawa State.
Patience Jonathan Resigns as Perm Sec Over Rift with Dickson
Wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Dame Patience Jonathan, has resigned her appointment as Permanent Secretary in the Bayelsa State Civil Service.
The 57-year-old Patience was said to have left the service voluntarily.
Dame Patience Jonathan was one of the appointed 17 permanent secretaries in the state civil service in July 2012.
The appointment had caused outrage in the state at the time with some Bayelsans expressing misgivings about it and the extent to which the civil service was politicised.

The disagreement between President Goodluck Jonathan and Rivers State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, took a fresh turn on Saturday when the governor declared that the President was not his brother.
