Among those who obtained forms for senate were Mr. Dubem Obaze, younger brother of the secretary to Anambra government Mr Oseloka Obaze, Mr Maja Umeh, a former commissioner for information in Anambra.

AIT management has withdrawn the false story inspired by desperate Omisore campaign team which alleged that Omisore has been getting more votes from ballot recount by the tribunal.
This was part of the wicked agenda, desperado and misleading script fashioned by the defeated PDP candidate to upturn by hook or crook the outcome of popular mandate won by APC’s Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola at the 9 August Guber polls.
Claims and counter-claims on Monday again rocked the political atmosphere in Osun State.
This followed the claim by the Peoples Democratic Party that the Elections Petitions Tribunal hearing the party’s petition over the outcome of the governorship election that returned Governor Rafu Aregbesola, had declared the PDP candidate, Iyiola Omisore, as the governor elect.
The party said this followed the discovery of uncounted 100,000 votes in favour of Omisore, which invariably led to his having more votes in the election that Aregbesola.
Ever since the attentive world rose to its feet to applaud Governor Willie Obiano’s virtuoso performance in 100 days in office, the dogs of war seem to have been let loose and they are baying for his innocent blood. Obiano and his beautiful wife have become the punching bag of miscreants on social media whose mercantile instincts mark out as cannon fodder in the hands of aggrieved and out-of-favour politicians. Every day, they concoct lies and tasteless falsehoods to nibble away at his soaring popularity among the long suffering people of Anambra State who are beginning to finally see that indeed, Anambra can be better.
Peter Obi’s defection from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) did not surprise me. Unlike Bianca, widow of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, I knew the former Anambra State governor was going to take that fateful political step. Every discerning political observer knew that despite Obi’s protestations and despite his vow that he would quit partisan politics any day he left APGA, he had a crush on the PDP. His body language betrayed him. That Obi had the patience to serve out his second term as governor on the platform of APGA was the only surprise. I did not want to comment on his defection until I read Bianca’s interview in the Daily Sun and Obi’s reaction.
