Aki and I are still friends- Pawpaw

Actor Osita Iheme, otherwise known as Pawpaw, has said there is no reason for him and his popular screen friend, Aki, real names Chinedu Ikedieze, to break up whether now or in the future. Speaking with R recently, Pawpaw said that Aki’s fans misinterpreted his statement in a recent interview that the duo had separated. This raised fears in the movie industry and among the actor’s worried fans on what could have led their parting of ways.

Election 2015: Lagos Prophet Prophesied Okorocha Will be President By Proxy

The General Overseer of Galilee Christian Center in Lagos, Prophet Williams Onuoha, has predicted that the current governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, would become Nigeria’s president in 2015.

According to him, for this to happen, Okorocha would have to adhere to God’s direction, adding that only a running mate from the South West region can give him the presidency.

The traffic situation on Lagos Island this week has been atrocious. Out of necessity, I had reasons to be on the island everyday of the week. I had the most harrowing traffic experience on Tuesday. It was so bad that I had to wait in a pub till about 10pm when the roads became decongested. While in the pub, I was accosted by two gentlemen who introduced themselves as admirers of my work. We started a conversation and they told me about their intentions to check out of the country for good. I was curious to know why and they gave quite compelling reasons. Filmhouse to unveil 15 more cinemas

The management of Filmhouse Cinemas has announced its readiness to open 15 new cinema outlets from December 2014, in additional to the existing four.
The company which began operations in December 2012, is fast becoming ubiquitous, beating old player, Silverbird Cinemas on the number of outlets across the country. Co-founder and Managing Director of the company, Kene Mkparu, told newsmen in Calabar, Cross River State, during the just-concluded Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), about a new deal with African Capital Alliance (ACA).
The deal, according to him, is to establish five new cinemas before the end of December and additional10 outlets by 2015, and then about 4 yearly from 2016. Mkparu’s words confirmed ACA’s earlier announcement of its investments into Filmhouse Cinemas and Film One, its associated film production and distribution company, which described the latter as the fastest growing cinema chain in Nigeria with a great team.

Eighteen finalists, who include a doctor and a computer scientist, paraded in glittering dresses against the backdrop of world-renowned ancient temples for the contest in the world’s most populous Muslim-majority country.

Media creating false impression about insurgency – Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday in London said that the media was blowing the security situation in the north eastern part of the country out of proportion.
This is contained in a statement issued by Dr Reuben Abati, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
Jonathan said this at the opening of the meeting of Nigeria’s Honorary International Investment Council  (HIIC).
