Her name is Maria Ude Nwachi, she is popularly known as Afikpo Chic or Nwanyi Afikpo and is gunning for Ebonyi State House of Assembly seat as representative of Afikpo North-east Constituency. In this interview with Michael Igwe, she promises to start a lot of good things in Nigeria that no legislator has done in the past.

Anambra State University Teaching Hospital, Amaku-Awka was a beneficiary to the philanthropy of Chief Dr. Emma Bishop Okonkwo (OFR) through his foundation, Emma Bishop Okonkwo Foundation on November 14, 2014. The closed door presentation ceremony was chaired by the Chairman of the institution's Board of Management, Chief Dr. Dozie Ikedife (Ikenga Nnewi) and hosted by the Chief Medical Director of the Institution, Dr Lawrence Ikeakor. The presentation was made by Professor O.O Mbonu, one of the directors of the foundation, who also doubles as part of ASUTH's management board.

The President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Gary Enwo-Igariwey has explained why an Igbo man cannot become Nigeria’s president.Speaking on Monday in Lagos, at the public presentation of the Igbo centenary book, 100 Years of Amalgamation: Igbo, What Hope in Nigeria, by a Lagos-based journalist, Peter Anosike, Enwo-Igariwey said he made the assertion because Igbo are not united when it comes to leadership roles.

A Ghanaian socialite named Nayele Ametefe also known as Ruby Adu-Gyamfi, who is said to be very highly placed in Ghana was arrested at Heathrow Airport, London on November 10th for drug trafficking.
Nayele was arrested shortly after arriving on a flight from Accra, Ghana, carrying 12 kilograms of cocaine worth £3.5million ($5 million) and £6, 063 cash. She was also reported to have been in possession of multiple passports including a Ghanaian passport and an Austrian passport.

Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), yesterday charged serving members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to live above board in discharging their electoral duties in 2015. Watch Boko Haram Militants Display Control Of Captured Towns In Northeastern Nigeria

A full video obtained by Ashiwaju.org via web porters show Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau preaching to locals in captured towns in northeast Nigeria. Though it's unclear which townships were taken over in the video, the deadly militant sect apparently has firm control over major towns in the Yobe, Adamawa and Borno states. The video also shows the brazen display of military weapons that the sect seized from Nigerian troops. A Nigerian soldier is also seen fighting for his life in a hand combat with Boko Haram militants that eventually led to his death at the hands of the sect.

Maiduguri Bambing: 24 killed, 54 injured in Bomb Scare

Twenty four people have been confirmed dead and at least 54 injured in a twin bomb attack that occurred in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital early Tuesday, health officials said.
The Executive Secretary of the Borno State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Salisu Kwayabura, told the state governor, Kashim Shettima, that the 54 injured people were admitted at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital and the Umaru Shehu Ultra-Modern Hospital, Maiduguri.
“Out of this number, 14 of them who were critically injured have been referred to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) for proper treatment while 20 have been discharged,” Dr. Kwayabura said.
