At a time when Ndi Anambra have started to celebrate the developmental strides of the revolutionary government of Chief Willie Obiano, the executive governor of Anambra State, there are pockets of distractions from here and there either caused by the defection of Mr Peter Obi, from All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to PDP, or by actions and inactions of political stakeholders who are growing grey hairs over the rising popularity of Governor Willie Obiano.
To express their support and love for the new administration and its focused leader, several groups within and outside the state have paid solidarity visits to the action governor; the youths, the women groups, local government councilors and chairmen as well as the presidents-general and market leaders. All expressing joy and total satisfaction with governor Obiano’s approach to governance, the immediate take off of his government and the glaring improvements recorded in such a short time. The common and greatest cause of happiness amongst these groups is the unprecedented achievements of governor Obiano in security sector.
The Presidential Screening Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to contest the December 10 the party’s presidential primaries slated for December 10 in Lagos.
Also cleared are Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, his Imo State counterpart, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and the Publisher of Leadership Newspaper, Sam Nda-Isaiah.
Before their clearance, the five aspirants were made to sign an undertaking not to decamp to any other party if they failed to get the party ticket and to support whoever emerges as candidate at the end of the primaries.
Speaking before presenting clearance certificates to the five aspirants who were screened on Tuesday, the Committee Chairman and former National Chairman of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), Chief Ogbonnaya Onu, said the time has come when Nigerians must make a decision whether to continue with the present state of affairs in the country or effect a change for the better.
Our attention has been drawn by the tissue of lies by Peter Obi’s lackey and spin doctor, Mr Valentine Obienyiem. It is not our intention to join issues with minions but to set the records right. That falsehood is the second nature of Mr Obienyiem needs not be restated. This nonentity that lives off Peter Obi, spinning falsehoods for his schizophrenic master to justify his hand-outs. It is symptomatic of his diseased mind to refer to the celebrated Dim Ojukwu as Peter Obi’s follower. That shows how pedestrian and how low these minions can be. It is also symptomatic of the megalomania of his paymaster, Mr Peter Obi.
The undeniable fact is that prior to the anointing and making of Peter Obi by APGA, Peter Obi was an unknown quantity. Chief Sir Victor Umeh was already a national officer in PDP even before the formation of APGA. He led Peter Obi by the hand into APGA. But for Chief Victor Umeh, Peter Obi might not have made headline in any national daily till date. Mr Peter Obi is all he is today courtesy of APGA. APGA made Peter Obi. He is, and will continue to unravel like a park of cards. Chief Victor Umeh was already an accomplished architect prior to his joining partisan politics. Everybody who is somebody on the political terrain knows that Ohamadike Victor Umeh has been the engine house of APGA. If not for him, Peter Obi would not have survived 2003 governorship election petition tribunal.
In a strategic move to implement his Four Pillars of Development, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has laid the foundational cornerstone for the proposed multi-million dollar West Africa Inter-Continental Trade Centre to be built in Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government of the state.

On why he thinks he can defeat president Jonathan come next year in the presidential race if he begs APC’s ticket, Kwankwaso said; I don’t know why (President Goodluck) Jonathan and I collected our nomination forms the same day. Maybe the indication is that both of us are going to slug it out in 2015, and once that happens, I am sure you know the answer – he is going to lose.
A Lagos governorship aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Musiliu Obanikoro, said if elected, his administration will concentrate on grassroots governance and education.
The former Minister of State for Defence stated this while delivering a speech at his gubernatorial declaration at the National stadium, Surulere.

He attributed the success to the clinical surgical incision made by President Jonathan at the centers of corruption in the country.
