In life, some have it rosy while others have it rough. For good governments around the world, they strive hard to ensure most of their citizens get the best. They also try to make the gap between the rich and the poor very thin. But in Nigeria, it is the other way round. While the rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer. The standard of living of the avarage Nigerian citizen is far below the expected range.Top government officials and their cronies are milking the nation very dry and the government is virtually not doing anything to bring them to book.
An average citizen is left to do menial or imaginable JOBS to survive in the midst of plenty. My Declaration For President By Michael Omozokpia Oserieme Ovienmhada
In the book Antigone by Sophocles, the Greek author writes: No other touchstone can test the heart of man, the temper of his mind and spirit until he be tried in the practice of authority and rule. For my part, I have always held the view, and hold it still, that a King whose lips are sealed by fear and unwilling to seek advice is damned. And no less damned is he who puts a friend above his country; I have no good word for him. As God above is my witness who sees all, when I see any danger threatening my people, whatever it may be, I shall declare it. No man who is his country’s enemy shall call himself my friend. Of this I am sure. Our country is our life; only when she rides safely have we any friends at all.

One of our correspondents visited some ministries and agencies and observed that their often crowded car parks were virtually empty.
