Letter To Gen. Buhari By Prof. Banji Akintoye

First of all, I congratulate you warmly for winning the nomination of your party for the presidency of Nigeria.

Though you and I are different in ethnicity and religion, we have many important things in common. I am a few years older than you – which means that if you and I had been Yoruba boys born in the same Yoruba town or village, we would have belonged to about the same age-grade Association ( with us Yoruba, age-grade loyalty is traditionally a very important factor of life).  Moreover, you and I were young Nigerians in an era, the 1950s, when our up-and coming country of Nigeria was a source of great pride to its citizens, and an emerging titan eagerly awaited by most informed people all over the world.

Present at the occasion were the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano and his Deputy, Dr Nkem Okeke, the National Chairman of APGA, Sir Victor Umeh, Amb Bianca Ojukwu, the Secretary to the Government of Anambra State, Hon. Oseloka Obaze and the Chief of Staff, Prof Joe Asike,

The Role Of Vigilante In Enduring An Enduring Security In Anambra State

There is a popular saying that where there is will, there is a way.
This has been proven to be true by the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, Ebekuedike.
The security of Anambra State which has hitherto defied all known solutions was achieved within weeks of Obiano’s assumption of office.
The undaunting determination of the Governor to rid the state of criminals paid off with the establishment of operation kpochapu. A proper motivation was provided to law enforcement agents through supply of vehicles and a huge financial support. The resultant effect is the security that is now enjoyed in the state.
There is need to build on the current security to ensure it becomes enduring. Efforts need to be made to ensure that criminals that have fled the state do not return.

AN ADDRESS BY THE BoT, CHAIMAN OF APGA, GOVERNOR OF ANAMBRA STATE, HIS EXCELLENCY CHIEF WILLIE OBIANO AT THE SPECIAL CONVENTION HELD BY THE ALL PROGRESSIVE GRAND ALLIANCE (APGA) AT THE WOMEN DEVELOPMENT CENTER, AWKA ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2014.
PROTOCOL
With great humility, I thank you for the challenge you have handed to me to serve this great party as your National Leader and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Most men live out their lives without ever knowing what it takes to provide leadership beyond the narrow confines of the family. I count myself lucky for all the opportunities you have given to me in the past 12 months. I have made rapid progress on the ladder of leadership and climbed several steps through ordinary membership of this great party to become a gubernatorial candidate, a governor and finally a Leader and BOT Chairman.
I am eternally grateful to you all for this and I say thank you for giving me this moment.

BY ABUCHI IFESINACHI, AWKA
The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship Most Rev Dr Paulinus  Ezeokafor has said the reason the Diocese decide to honour the immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Chief Peter Obi was due to the marvellous and transparent way he governed the State during his remarkable and eventful eight years stay in the office.
Bishop Ezeokafor who gave the explaination at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Awka said the Diocesan decision to appreciate Obi had nothing to do with politics noting that the Diocese was only trying to reward hard work even as he said with recognition of Obi's efforts other political office holders will be reminded that position of authority was meant for service and not as avenue to siphon public funds
