Humanity Against The Narcissists Of Death By Wole Soyinka
FRESH CRISIS HITS PDP • Suit seeks to stop Jonathan from contesting
The plaintiff, in the suit filed on December 29, argued that while the tenure of office of the late Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua as president ended the day he died on May 5, 2010, the first term tenure of office the Vice President who replaced him as President, ended on May 29, 2011.
In his originating summons filed by his counsel, Chris Ugwuala, the plaintiff said the second term of office of President Jonathan will end on May 29, 2015 because section 135[2][b]of the Constitution that enabled him to replace Yar’ Adua as President on May 6, 2010, did not make any provision for a vice president to complete the unexpired tenure of office or unexpired term of office of a deceased President.

What the so called ex-militant generals said in Yenagoa was it not as unintelligent as the allegations by a section of the country that President Goodluck Jonathan and his Niger Delta people are responsible for the spate of Boko Haram attacks in the north particularly the north-east? What has happened to our sense of reasoning? You have a problem in your bedroom with your wife and children and instead of facing the issues as they are, you are busy blaming every neighbour but yourself and your family members for your woes. Armed Forces Remembrance Day : Bishop Ezeokafor Eulogises Fallen Heroes and Heroines
Earlier in his homily during the Ecumenical service to mark this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day, entitled, “The Duty to Remember”, Bishop Ezeokafor, urged the Igbo to trust in God in spite of the circumstances surrounding their lives, and admonished them to always allow God to be at the center of their lives
He sighted Job’s confidence in the goodness of God in spite of the hard times he was experiencing as an indication that God could sometimes test the faith of His children by allowing them to suffer certain misfortunes.
Stella Oduah, Kicked Out Of Anambra North Senatorial Contest
Ms. Oduah, after failing to capture the Anambra North Senatorial seat, had used Pius Anyim, the Secretary to the Federal Government, to intimidate INEC to get her name into the list. That plan failed, as INEC released the name of John Okechuckwu Emeka as the court-ordered candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the seat.
Also removed from the list is Andy Uba, a former domestic aide to President Olusegun Obasanjo. He was replaced with his equally controversial younger brother, Chris Uba as the PDP candidate for Anambra South in the forthcoming general election. Chris Uba, it would be recalled, confessed to having rigged the 2003 gubernatorial election in the state, in favour of Chris Ngige.

TOMPOLO, EX-MEND COMMANDERS HOLD SECRET MEETING IN ASABA
EX-MILITANT leader, Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, held a meeting, yesterday, in Asaba, Delta State, with former top commanders of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, from Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers states.
A dependable source, said: “The meeting was convened by Tompolo to deliberate with his former colleagues on next month’s presidential election as it affects President Goodluck Jonathan, who is an Ijaw indigene.
“They also reviewed the support of the nonoperational MEND for the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), and agreed on ways to mobilise ex-agitators in the region for the PDP presidential candidate.”

PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE I WILL VOTE FOR – IBB
He didn’t look ready for a word for the press, but at last, he spoke on issue of interest to the nation, especially on next month’s elections.
In the course of the discussion, the former leader noted that he is watching the presidential candidates and would vote according to his conviction because his target is more on what the candidate has for the nation. He said any of the two major contenders that convinces him with his programmes would win his vote, but stands on his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His advice for Nigerians for the forthcoming elections was simple: “don’t get violent,” even as he used the interview to reiterate his old belief in a two-party democracy for Nigeria.
But the current war of words and vituperations by former President Obasanjo against President Goodluck Jonathan is what IBB frowned at and said it’s a most inappropriate way he should correct the incumbent on national issues.
President Jonathan And Buhari Spend Night In ABEOKUTA
Jonathan, who arrived Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, after a rally in Ibadan earlier in the day, last night met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, with Pastors Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and David Oyedepo, Bishop of the Living Church Worldwide (also known as Winners’ Chapel) in attendance, Ashiwaju.org was reliably informed.
Although details of the meeting were sketchy, presidency sources said Jonathan had met the former president, with whom he has had a thorny relationship, to solicit his support as the elections loom.
Buhari, on the other hand, arrived Abeokuta just before 10 pm to spend the night ahead of the APC presidential campaign rally in the town today.
Buhari can’t win election with cabals surrounding him – Gov Lamido
Lamido said that the ‘’cabals are capitalizing on Buhari’s so call popularity to seek elective positions,’’ saying, however, that ‘’Buhari cannot get the mandate of Nigerians’’ at the polls.
The governor spoke while addressing a large crowd of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, supporters in Magatari town in the state during a political rally in the area, Sunday,
“Frankly, even my party, the PDP has agreed that General Buhari is an incorruptible person but those sounding him are selfish, they are misleading him on the present realities in the country,’’ he said.
Describing the “cabals as dangerous elements,’’ Lamido said that those deceiving Buhari were the former members of the PDP who dumped the party and moved closer to Buhari.
“These cabals seeking elective positions are betrayers. They betrayed PDP; the party which made them what they are today. They will also betray Buhari as soon as they get what they want, just as they are calling PDP all sorts of names and regard Buhari like god now. They will turn their back on him soon,’’ he noted
