TWO FEARED DEAD AS CONTAINER FELL OFF OJUELEGBA BRIDGE---PHOTOS
The incident, which occurred around 5:00pm at the busy Ikorodu Road, by Ojuelegba, was said to have caused heavy gridlock on the axis.
About five tons container which was being conveyed by a heavy duty truck on the bridge, overturned and fell to the ground.
The situation which was said to have frightened onlookers, made several motorists including the driver of a white vehicle hit by the container to flee for their lives.

Imminent Flood Disaster: Anambra SEMA Renews Call for Alertness
Sequel to the prediction and insistence by the Nigeria
Meteorological Institute, that the intensity of rainfall will increase
in September and October this year, the Anambra State Emergency
Management Agency, SEMA, has renewed its call on the citizenry to be on
their guard against imminent flood disasters.
The
Executive Secretary of SEMA, Chief Paul Odenigbo noted that SEMA had
already in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency,
NEMA, and some members of the Executive Council, EXCO, toured
flood-prone local government areas of the state two times in the last
three months.
Former NSA To Jonathan Sambo Dasuki, to be arraigned Tuesday over alleged firearm offences
Nigeria’s
immediate past National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, has been formally
charged with illegal possession of firearms.
Charges filed by
Nigeria’s Director of Public Prosecutions,
Mohammed Diri, indicate that Mr. Dasuki would appear in an Abuja court
on Tuesday to face charges including unlawful possession of several assault
rifles and ammunition.

The Spokesman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Lai Mohammed Monday said President Buhari
never promised to do anything within his 1st 100 days in office.
He disclosed this on a Live Television Telecast on Channels Television in defense of the Buhari's led administration.
His words: “Buhari never
promised to do anything in 100 days, that’s the honest truth. You see, when you
are running a campaign, all kinds of literature will emerge from all sorts of
groups but I came here and I said there are only just two documents that you
can judge a party with. That is the constitution of the party and the manifesto
of the party. Those are the only two documents that are registered with INEC
you can go to court on or hold a party accountable for” he said.

The United State of America Republican party presidential hopeful Dr. Ben Carson is
tied with Donald Trump in Iowa in the latest Monmouth University Poll released
Monday, marking the first time that a GOP contender has closed the gap in
Trump's lead in the primary.
Ashiwaju.org reports that Neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson and Trump got 23 percent support from
Iowa's Republican voters, while former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina came
in third with 10 percent of the vote. None of the other candidates in the

EFCC Arrest Adamawa State University VC and Others for Selling SUV Jeep Worth N13 Million For N150,000 Scrap Value
The Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday arrested top officials of the
Adamawa State University for selling a N13 million government-owned Toyota Land
Cruiser as scrap.
The commission’s
spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed the arrest in a telephone interview
with Ashiwaju.org revealed hat most of the vehicles had not been tested by any government official before the expiration of the Dr. Goodluck Jonathan led administration and the immediate past president of the federal republic of Nigeria.
