The Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Her Excellency, Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano has tasked women to sustain family values through their actions and prayers and also ensure there is no communication gap between them and their husbands in other to fulfill their role as mothers in society.
Mrs. Obiano made the plea over the weekend while addressing the 2015 Women Convention at the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry Uke, Idemili North, Local Government Area. The wife of the governor told the participants that sustaining family values also rests on the ability to hold the household together with love and prayers, instilling fear of God in the children and helping people in need in other to attract blessings from God. According to Mrs. Obiano; “Today I may be the wife of the governor but it is important to let you know that we started small. Sometimes the family income may put undue pressure on the husband and wife and that is when a woman must persevere in prayers.” Sharing personal experiences, Mrs. Obiano stated:
It was a tale that aroused curiosity each time it was told. Officially, Anambra State is not yet an oil producing state and thus, does not benefit from the 13% mineral derivation fund. Nor does Anambra belong to the premier league of federation account recipients such as Kano, Katsina, and Lagos – with lopsided number of local government areas and high population respectively. Then given the low tone of governance and public service in the country, interest was stirred with the announcement that outgoing Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi was bequeathing an asset of N75b in cash and investments to his successor, Willie Obiano.
We received the recent press statement issued by Mr. Valentine Obienyem, the Media Aide to the former governor of Anambra State, Sir Peter Obi, calling for restraint in the relentless media attacks on the person and family of the governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, with HOPE and CONCERN.

As the war of words between former governor Peter Obi and his successor, Chief Willie Obiano continues to rage on social media, the question that many Nigerians are beginning to ask is, “does Peter Obi want another term in office?” This question is gaining currency on the lips of most discerning members of the public who are surprised that Obi may have inadvertently pricked the balloon of his exaggerated image of a good man and now the air has gone out with a hiss. The tragedy is that Obi will remain diminished when this foul wind blows over. This is one battle that will leave permanent scars on the former governor whom late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu had hoped would take over the mantle of leadership of the Igbo from him.
This is to alert the general public and the good people of Anambra State of some fraudulent documents being circulated in the media by Valentine Obienyem, an employee of the former governor of Anambra State, Chief Peter Greg Obi.
