Oil Crisis: Buhari demands immediate reduction in fuel prices
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Muhammadu Buhari, has called on the Nigerian government to implement immediate price reduction on fuel products to reflect the downscaling in global oil prices.
Speaking through his campaign organization, the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, on Monday, Mr. Buhari asked the government to “stop stealing from Nigerians and allow them enjoy the relief that has come to consumers of petroleum products globally”.A statement from the Directorate of Media and Publicity of the APC presidential campaign said it was disturbing that in spite of the fall in the global price of crude oil, Nigerians still buy petroleum products at pump prices as if the global price of crude oil had remained at $100 (USD) per barrel.
The statement said: “The current attempt by the government to deregulate the prices of some petroleum products has been completely compromised to satisfy few money bags to the detriment of the Nigerian people and the economy.

The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, says the Federal Government is taking steps to restore history as a subject in primary and secondary schools’ curriculum.
Adamu made this known when he appeared on the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Forum on Tuesday in Abuja.He was responding to the criticism trailing the removal of history studies from primary and secondary schools curriculum which became effective from the 2009/2010 academic session.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has disclosed that the real amount misappropriated in the arms purchase is $15 billion.
