Igbo Leader commends Buhari over South East Roads

Commendations are coming to the federal government for intervening on the rehabilitate of Enugu=Onitsha Expressway to relief  tension been experienced by motorists and commuters plying the major roads in the south east of Nigeria.
Report has it that the process to give the highway a new look commenced at a recent meeting between the Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola and the Governor of Anambra State,  Wilie Obiano in Awka, the state capital.

Awka residents Protest Over Non Installation of Electricity Transformers

Scores of Residents and traders of Awka took to the street in protest against what they term as non installation of transformer by the Enugu Electricity Commission, EEDC.

The Electricity  consumers who spoke through the auspices of the Awka branch of Anambra state Traders Association, AMATAS women wing ended their peaceful protest at the the EEDC business office along Ziks Avenue, Awka .

They are encouraged to cultivate the idea of one child one tree planting initiave of the state government as plans to achieve the one million tree planning programme in the state.

FG Puts Up Two Presidential Jets For Sale, Asks Bidders To Quote In Dollars.

The federal government has advertised the sale of two aircraft in the presidential fleet and directed that the bids be quoted in US dollars.
A Falcon 7x and Hawker 4000 are the aircraft to be disposed, according to an advert placed in a national daily.
Interested buyers were asked to inspect the Falcon at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International, Airport, Abuja, and the Hawker at Cessna Zurich Citation Service Centre, Zurich, Switzerland.

SPEED LIMIT DEVICE : FRSC LAUDS MOTORISTS COMPLIANCE IN ANAMBRA STATE

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra command, Sunday Ajayi, reiterates the agency resolve to impound trucks and commercial vehicles found not to have installed the Speed Limit device ahead of the October 1 deadline date in the state.
He said though, the compliance level in the state is encouraging but buoyed to ensure that it’s enforcement is been carried out to meet up with the corps required date for the commencement of the vehicular auto speed control device.

VIDEO: Anambra Judiciary Sues for Its Autonomy

Anambra judiciary state has reiterated its call to the state government to implement the much debated about judicial autonomy to enable the arm of government perform its constitutional duty effectively without dependence on the executive.
They lamented that the state Judiciary is financially docile to the state Ministry of Justice, an act that negates relevant laws and constitutional provisions.
Expressed regret that the State Judiciary is still financially subservient to the executive, saying it was most undesirable as it clearly counteracts the relevance of the laws of separation of power among the three arms of government.

VIDEO: Anambra IPAC debunked Bribery Allegation

The leadership of Anambra State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC), has dissociated itself from the reported bribery allegation of financial complicity.
They debunked the claims that the leadership of the party met with the state Governor Willie Obiano, to produce the chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA as the chairman of IPAC Anambra state against the interest of other members of the union.
