Count down to the Anambra governorship election, frontline Christian leaders including the spiritual Director of the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as Ebube Muonso as well as prominent Anglican priest, Ven. Stanley Awuzie have offered supplications for the candidate of the United Progressive Party (UPP) Chief Osita Chidoka.

The Police Command in Anambra has confirmed the arrest of a Police officer, Cpl. Bara’u Garba, who allegedly abducted and defiled a 14-year-old girl.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Garba Umar, said at a news conference in Awka on Monday, that the incident occurred recently.
According to him, the suspect abducted the minor near her residence at Hausa Quarters, Asaba, and kept her in custody for two days at Okpoko in Onitsha.
He said the suspect was attached to Mobile Squadron in Sokoto, but deployed to Anambra on special duty.
Stakeholders in Okpoko community on Tuesday, adopted the governorship bid of the PDP candidate, Mr. Oseloka H. Obaze, as a community project declaring total support for their son.
Speaking at the event that brought all Okpoko Stakeholders across party lines together, Mr. Ezeanua Nzeribe, told the crowd that Okpoko and indeed Ogbaru Local Government Area now have the dream opportunity to present not just a governor but the best candidate for the election pledging the total support of the community to Mr. Obaze. He reminded the community that after this opportunity, they may not get a chance until about 20 years time urging them to mobilize total support for Obaze.
Nigeria minister of Labour and Employment Senator Chirs Nwabueze Ngige has absolved President Muhammadu Buhari from the wide acclaimed marginalization of the people of the south east of juice cabinet position in his administration.

In his remarks, Mr. Obaze reiterated his commitment to meeting the United Nations threshold of dedicating 26% of the budget to education out of which 10% will be given to parochial schools to ensure free, quality and accessible education noting that only Sokoto and Kwara State have met that threshold.
