The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, says the attack on St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State, that left over many people dead on Sunday, June 5, 2022 is an eye opener to the Mother Church and all churches in Nigeria.
Fiery Enugu Catholic priest and Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Emene, Enugu Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka has distanced himself from Sunday protests by the Adoration congregation.
The protest which was targeted at the Enugu Catholic Bishop, Callistus Onaga rocked the State capital Sunday as the demonstrator insisted that the bishop must go.
The protest was a reaction to the ban imposed on the Adoration Ministry by Bishop Onaga.

The Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KADSUBEB) says it has dismissed 2,357 teachers who failed the recently conducted competency test.
Its spokesperson, Hauwa Mohammed, in a statement on Sunday in Kaduna, said the board conducted a competency test for over 30,000 teachers in December 2021.
