War Against Criminal Activities: Anambra Government Establishes Anti-Touting Squad

In a bold move to combat criminal activities in Anambra State, Governor Charles Soludo, has established the Special Anambra Anti-Touting Squad (SASA). 

Speaking to Newsmen in Awka the Director of SASA, Hon Solomon Chukwuebuka Onwuemene, said the aim for forming the unit was to eliminate various forms of criminal activities such as one-chance robbery, drug abuse, handbag snatching, and illegal extortion of traders across markets in the state, particularly in Onitsha and its environs.

Anambra People will Resist any Attempt to disrupt Zoning Arrangement- APGA Stalwart, Theodore Okonkwo

Ahead of the 2025 Anambra Governorship Election, a two-time Idemili North and South Federal Constituency seat aspirant, Prof Theodore Okonkwo has called on politicians in the state, planning to disrupt the zoning arrangement prevailing in the state, to withdraw.

In his opinion, such ambition does not mean well for the peace and stability of the state.

In an exclusive interview with newsmen in Awka, on the troubling political environment in the state ahead of 2025, Okonkwo said Anambra cannot afford to lose political stability, considering the progress it has made under successive APGA regimes.
