Rep. Chimaobi Atu (LP), member representing Enugu North and South Federal Constituency, has flagged-off a one-kilometre access road to facilitate further development of Ugwuaji communuty in Enugu South Local Government Area.
Flagging off the Eke Market - Umumba-Afor Market Road in Ndiagu Ugwuaji community in Enugu on Tuesday, Atu said that the access road would make evacuation of farm produce to the two major markets in the community possible and fast.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), on Thursday, tasked flood prone communities within council areas in Enugu State on building flood prevention and resilience action plans.
The Acting Zonal Coordinator of NEMA South-East, Mrs Ngozi Echeazu, gave the task during a sensitization on Proper Waste Management and Flood
Preparedness in Eha-Amufu community within Isi-Uzo LGA of Enugu State.
The sensitization, which would be carried out in flood prone communities within three council areas in Enugu State, was organized by NEMA in collaboration with Enugu State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).

The result-oriented Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra, Hon. Chief (Sir) Stanley Nkwoka (Ochendo Idemili), says he will partner with all the stakeholders and every relevant government's agency to stop street trading and trading on the drainage system.
Hon. Nkwoka who stated this while fielding questions from Newsmen at the Council's Headquarters, Ogidi also said he would decongest the roads, especially the ones in the Urban areas, explaining that it would eenhance free flow of traffic in Idemili North Local Government Area and its environs.
Speaking on political front, the Chief Servant of the most populous and densely populated LGA in Anambra State emphatically said the re-election of the Solution Governor for second term was a must and remained sacrosanct.
According to the people's TC Chairman, 'I shall work with the stakeholders and the party's leaders to showcase and disseminate the information about the good works of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo to the grassroots.
'I shall also work with the major stakeholders in Idemili North during the campaigns for the governor’s reelection to setup a formidable and far-reaching campaign for the local government to win the election.

Worried by the incessant collapse of buildings and attendant loss of lives, the Anambra State Government on Wednesday unveiled series of directives targeted to mitigate the negative occurrence and engender sanity in the state’s building and approval processes.
The directives were announced by the Executive Chairman, Anambra State Physical Planning Board, ANSPPB, Barr Chike Maduekwe, during a press conference at the ANSPPB headquarters in Awka, Anambra State Capital.
Critical stakeholders in the health sector in Anambra State have resolved to work together towards reducing the burden of tuberculosis in the area.
