Mr Peter Obi today worshipped with the students of Holy Rosary College in Nsugbe, marking a significant occasion as the Holy Rosary Sisters celebrate 100 years since their foundation by Bishop Joseph Shanahan in 1924. The college at Nsugbe is also celebrating its 10th anniversary. It will be recalled that Obi laid the institution’s foundation in 2013. Tensions flared during the Anambra State local council election on September 28, 2024, as irregularities were reported in Anyamelum Local Government Area. The election was abruptly halted by Mr. Ezeanaekwe Chidi Mark, an Electoral Officer with the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC). Surrounded by security forces, including the local Divisional Police Officer (DPO), the Department of State Services (DSS), soldiers, and members of the central vigilante group, Mr. Mark cited orders from his commission to abort the ongoing electoral process due to alleged malpractice.

NAFDAC urges medicine sales stakeholders to actively checkmate substandard medicines.

 


The National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has appealed to stakeholders in the medicine sales value-chain to actively join the agency to checkmate substandard and falsified medicines.

The Director of NAFDAC in South-East, Mr Martins Iluyomade, made the plea in Enugu on Thursday during a one-day NAFDAC Community Sensitisation on Substandard and Falsified Medicines in Nigeria.
