Awka Residents Request Extension of CVR Holiday

Voters in Awka have expressed displeasure over the operation of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the ongoing Voter Registration exercise and  demand for improve service delivery.
While calling for an extension of time to enable them get registered,
they are also complaining about the shortage of manpower which leads to delay in the registration and collection Permanent Voter Card process.

NEMA Announces Rapid Response plans in the south East.

The national emergency management agency south east zone says the agency is ready to arrest any emergency situation that may arise from impending flooding this year.

It assures of the agency's readiness to nip in the bud any record of disaster related issues and outlined measures already in place and equipment procured by government to tackle disaster cases from flooding to fire and other man made emergencies.

Anambra Community Seals Off EEDC Office *Boycotts Payment of Electricity Biill

Following the disconnection of electricity in the entire buildings in Ugwuagba Layout-Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra state for close to two months now, the residents of the layout at the weekend held a public protest within the layout where demonstrated their anger by sealing off the office of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC situated at No 3 Obodoukwu Street,Ugwuagba Layout Obosi.

Apart from sealing off the office of the company in the layout, the company allegedly controlled by fraudsters, the community vehemently stated categorically that there will be no more paying of electricity bill(s) in the layout till they are provided with prepaid meters by EEDC, calling on Anambra state government via that State House of Assembly to wade and  their feud with Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC.
