Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, has raised an alarm of the commission's database being attacked by foreign hackers. 

BREAKING Abia State PDP Governorship Candidate, Professor Ikonne is Dead

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abia, Uchenna Ikonne, has died, according to a family statement.

Mr Ikonne, an ally of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu who clinched the party’s gubernatorial ticket in 2022, passed on, on Wednesday morning at the National Hospital, Abuja, following a cardiac arrest. 

He was 65 years old.

Farmers in Anambra state have endorsed the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the coming 2023 general election, Mr. Peter Obi and his running-mate, Dr. Yusuf Baba-Ahmed Datti.

The farmers who operate under the umbrella, Innoscofarms and allied farmers have also sent their members to other South East states, including Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo to sensitise and mobilise farmers in the areas to drum support for the victory of the LP presidential candidate.
